inky fingers

Illalla kävelyllä rannalla, Atlantin tyrskyjä ja pikkuista puroa katsellen menin tämän pienen olennon ohi ihan huomaamatta. Vasta kolmantena meistä kävellyt ystäväni huomasi sen, ja siinä vaiheessa kyy oli jo todella vihainen ja sähisi meille äkäisenä.
In the evening we made a walk near hostel, to have a closer look at a small river and stony beach. This small creature was really angry, when we first had passed by without noticing it. A viper it was, and poisonous, we learned later.

If there is a kitchen in auberge, it is always full of people.

Portossa aloin tuntea itseni terveeksi. Kävin katedraalissa lunastamassa uuden vaelluspassin.
Poto made me to feel well again. I got a new credential in cathedral and left to the path again.

Minun piti vaihtaa majaa. Löysin netistä mukavantuntuisen keskustahostellin. Piti kuitenkin etsiä muutaman kerran läpikotaisin kaikki lähikadut ennenkuin huomasin, että tämä hostelli todella on Sao Benton rautatieasemalla, sisäänkäynti asemalaiturilta.
No, nythän Helsingissä rakennetaan rautatieaseman siipirakennukseen hotellia. Toivottavasti siellä on sijaa myös reppumatkaajille, sijainti on niin upea!
Sao Benton asema on yksi kauneimpia, joita olen nähnyt. Kannattaa käydä katsomassa!
My next hostel was on Sao Bento railway station. The station is really beautiful! And the hostel is spacial, too! Bunk beds in three levels. I had the uppermost bed and enjoyed – even I usually have a phobia of high places. But to sleep near the roof of such an old room!

Porto oli mielenkiintoinen ja viihtyisä paikka!
Porto was wonderful place to stay for rest! I love the old trams of Porto, the old London phone stands and mail boxes. I visited the interesting wine cellars – one of them worked as a art gallery and was lovely. And I found a strange cavalcade with old costumes and marching band.

Päätin jättää sateiset seudut ja etsiä mukavan paikan. Bussilla Portoon! Pientä hämminkiä majoituksen kanssa, mutta pian löysin itseni mukavasta majapaikasta aivan näiden talojen nurkilla.
I left the rainy Santiago and found a cosy place to stay in Porto, next to these houses.

Colexiata de Santa Maria do Sar – rauhallinen ja suljettu tunnelma.
The atmosphere was peaceful but closed, heavy walls around a piece beauty.

Santiago cathedral museum was a nice place, I draw there a lot. This lovely lion is a stone relief.

Santiagon katedraalin museossa on puinen patsaspari noin vuodelta 1325, Marian ilmestys. Sekä Gabriel attä Maria ovat perin ilmeikkäitä ja tunnelma on pikemminkin elävä kuin harras.
