Munchen – Pinakokthek
In the night I travel to Munich. Shower! and breakfast in the railwaystation. Walking in the town, here the river is Isar. When the museums open their door: Pinakokthek der Moderne! The exhibition of Lina Bo Bardi is most interesting – she was born in Italy, but made her carrier in Brazil. In Sao Paulo House of Cultures a creek is going through the house. I lay looking at a film projected to the roof: people sitting and walkins inside the house by the creek and water flowing slowly…

Yöjunalla Muncheniin. Suihku! ja aamiainen asemalla. Kävely kaupungissa – täällä joen nimi on Isar. Kun museot aukeavat: Pinakokthek der Moderne! Italialaissyntyisen, Brasiliassa vaikuttaneen arkkitehti Lina Bo Bardin näyttely on kiinnostava. Yhden huoneen kattoon heijastetaan filmiä Sao Paulon kulttuuritalosta, jossa suuren aulan läpi virtaa puro. Katselen sitä kauan, ja vesi virtaa hitaasti.

The influences of El Greco on the modern art are inspiring. But there are also some pieces which mean nohing for me. I realise that there is hardly anything made by women. Do the German see only the men as artists? Some kind of disability in vision, I think.
El Grecon vaikutuksia moderniin taiteeseen esitetään hauskasti, pidän muutamista töistä kovasti. Jotkut työt taas ovat täysin merkityksettömiä minulle. Mutta missä on naisten tekemä taide? Tekevätkö vain miehet taidetta saksalaisten mielestä. Valikoivaa sokeutta ?
In the Canaletto-exhibition in Alte Pinakokthek I try drawing with camera obscura – fun, but not my style…
Alte Pinakokthek on järjestänyt erikoisnäyttelyn Canalettosta, ja siellä kokeilen piirtämistä camera obscuran avulla, Canaletton tapaan. Ei todellakaan minun juttuni – mutta hauska sitä oli kokeilla.
